Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Medina, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Bids are requested for the: "Medina County Administration Facility Parking Lot Replacement" in the City of Medina, Medina County, Ohio. Proposal No.1 will involve the removal of the existing concrete parking lot, installation of a new 2-2C catch basin and enclosure, and 8" fiber-reinforced concrete. This section of the parking lot shall be closed for a maximum of 30 calendar days. Proposal No.2 will involve the removal of existing concrete pavement/sidewalks and asphalt pavement, asphalt pavement repairs, pavement milling, new sidewalks with handicap accessible ramps and detectable warning devices, 8" fiber-reinforced concrete including type 6 integral curbing, and 2 1/4" asphalt pavement. Alternate No.2A will involve the removal of existing concrete pavement/sidewalks and asphalt pavement, new sidewalks with handicap accessible ramps and detectable warning devices, and 8" fiber-reinforced concrete. Proposal No.2 or 2A section of the parking lot shall be closed for a maximum of 60 calendar days. All proposals will include topsoil, seeding and mulching, pavement markings and stipulated traffic control in accordance with the specifications and accompanying construction drawings. Each proposal shall be bid as independent projects and each shall be complete in its entirety before the next phase of construction can begin. Proposal No.1 shall be completed no later than September 6th, 2024. And Proposal No.2 or Alternate No.2A shall be completed no later than November 15th, 2024. The Engineer's estimate for Proposal No.1 is $240,535.00. Each bidder shall be required to file a bid guaranty with the bid in the form of either: (1) a Bid/Performance Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid; or (2) a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Letter of Credit shall equal to 10% of the amount bid, conditioned that the bidder shall, if their bid is accepted, execute a contract in conformity with the bid, plans, details, specifications and bills of material. A Letter of Credit shall be revocable only at the option of the County. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contract compliance with the Equal Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Contractors and Subcontractors must comply with the prevailing wage rates requirements detailed in the Bid Documents. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder.
