Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Smithers, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a three-story above grade, 40-unit multi-residential development.
Construction of a 3-storey, 40-unit wood-frame/concrete (concrete substructure and wood superstructure) building with a mix of units to be determined by BC Housing and Prime Consultant /Architect. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals for Prime Consultant and Architectural Services including sub-consultants' services to design the project is underway. The following are some of the key elements of the Deliverables: Prime Consultant and Architectural Services including sub-consultants' services to design a 3-storey, 40-unit supportive housing building. Proponents shall provide the services as described in Appendix 9 [Project Requirements] and Appendix 8 [Draft Contract, including Schedule A]. The Prime Consultant will be responsible for all Payment Certifier duties and the necessary professional certification throughout the entire construction period. Proponents should ensure that they propose a strong, experienced well-balanced project team that includes sufficient resources and depth of experience to effectively undertake all aspects of the project, and to provide timely, comprehensive, and quality deliverables ensuring that design, specifications, and drawings meet the requirements of BC Housing Design Guidelines and Construction Standards, BC Housing Commissioning Guidelines, and the program requirements of the future building Operator. Further update in late summer 2024, pending selection of a preferred proponent. Deadline for questions: June 24, 2024 @ 2:00 p.m. PT (questions received after this date and time may not be responded to). Budget estimate is unconfirmed.
