Storm Water General Permit Inspection Services Holmes Elementary School. Please contact Robert Smedley (smedley@csdnb.com) with all pre-bid inquiries. The City of New Britain is soliciting proposals for inspection services for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) General Permit for the Discharge of Storm water and Dewatering Wastewaters from Construction Activities (Storm water General Permit) for the Holmes Elementary School Project. The Project consists of selective demolition, site improvements to the 8.51acre site, building additions and a complete renovation of the existing building. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Plan Implementation Inspections. Conduct three (3) Plan Implementation Inspections in accordance with the Storm water General Permit. These inspections shall be conducted by a "Qualified Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Professional" as defined in the Storm water General Permit. The inspections shall be conducted, and reporting provided, as defined in the Storm water General Permit. Routine/Rain Event Inspections. Conduct weekly Routine Inspections and Rain Event Inspections in accordance with the requirements of the Storm water General Permit. These inspections shall be conducted by a "Qualified Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Professional" as defined in the Storm water General Permit. The inspections shall be conducted, and reporting provided, as defined in the Storm water General Permit. Include inspections for a 21 month construction duration commencing on the date of the first inspection including discharge/rain event inspections Post Construction Inspections/Closeout. Conduct post construction inspections including a final stabilization inspection in accordance with the requirements of the Storm water General Permit. Include modifications to the SWPCP and all reporting and record keeping requirements. Submit a Notice of Termination to DEEP. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in the proposals, reject or accept any or all proposals when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Owner to do so.
