Project Description: The Clay County Board of County Commissioners (County) is seeking a qualified Contractor to replace forty (40) grey Tempered window panes at the Orange Park Library. This is a critical project aimed at preserving the library's structural integrity and enhancing the experience for all library patrons. This initiative underscores the County's dedication to maintaining high standards in public infrastructure and ensuring that residents have access to well-maintained and welcoming environments for learning and community engagement. The anticipated range is $20,000 - $30,000. The Contractor will be responsible for all materials and labor required to complete the following tasks: Remove one (1) existing window pane measuring approximately 94" x 74" and replace it with a new grey tempered window pane. Remove thirty-nine (39) existing window panes measuring approximately 46" x 46" and replace them with new grey tempered window panes. Contractors are required to take accurate measurements of all windows needing replacement as part of their bid preparation. A Pre-Bid meeting will be held to allow all interested contractors to take these measurements and ask any clarifying questions. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory to ensure accurate and competitive quotes. It is incumbent upon all Contractors to examine the site and insure that they are aware of all conditions that may affect the Contract work. The County will not be responsible for conclusions made by the Contractor. No claims for additional compensation will be considered on behalf of any Contractor, SubContractor, materials suppliers or others on account of that person's failure to be fully informed of all requirements of all parts of this bid All work shall be completed thirty (30) days from delivery of window panes from the manufacturer. Bid shall be awarded based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid of the Base Bid that best meet the needs of the County. If the Contractor fails to maintain acceptable product quality or to perform adequately in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications established in this Request for Bids, the County reserves the right to cancel the contract upon thirty (30) days written notice to the Contractor. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
