The City of Abbotsford is planning to construct a new neighbourhood park in the West Abbotsford area to serve the needs of the local community. The new park is about 3.5 ha and bounded by Fraser Highway on the south, Bertrand Creek on the east and north, and single detached neighborhood on west. In addition to environmental constraints from Bertrand creek side, there are also existing utility constraints on site such as the underground detention tanks, sanitary pump station and associated underground pipes that will in considered with the approach of the construction. The proposed park amenities include but not limited to, playgrounds, picnic shelter, small sport court, picnic tables, benches, drinking fountain, asphalt path, gravel tails, trees, rain garden, general landscaping and irrigation.
