The Sicangu Wicoti Awayankapi is seeking Request for Proposals on converting a 6 bay metal building garage into a Chemical Cleaning Station for this cost proposal. This building is located at the previous SWA Office site close to the previous IHS Hospital in Rosebud, South Dakota. Sicangu Wicoti Awayankapi Corporation will receive an award proposal for the general remodel construction of a metal building into a SWA Chemical Cleaning Station, in the Village of Rosebud on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in the State of South Dakota, Job Number NH2124. Project includes removing and replacing two garage doors; removing four garage doors or panels, and constructing new wall panels; and all associated site work, concrete flatwork at exterior entrance doors and garage doors; constructing Men's and Women's Locker Rooms; constructing Kitchen, Utility Room, Spray, Spray/Solution, Drying, Testing and Storage Room, saw cutting and replacing concrete floor to install plumbing system that includes connecting sewer pipe from building to the north; mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Bid request is for labor, materials, tools, and equipment for all phases of construction. The selected contractor will be responsible for all clean-ups and responsible for payment on roll-offs from RST Solid Waste Management. The Bidder agrees to secure and maintain, during all times engaged in work under the contract. These insurances must be furnished to the SWA Corporation a copy of the policy evidencing such insurances. The Bidder understands that the failure to carry public General liability and Automobile property insurance with Workmen's Compensation insurance in the amounts specified above will cause the Owner to terminate this Agreement. Proposer agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Owner from and against any and all loss, cost, expense, damages, suits, causes of actions, attorney fees, and any and all other cost or expenses arising out of the performance of the Proposer, or the Proposer agents, servants, or employees. All bids must contain a commitment to provide Indian preference in l) subcontracting, 2) training, and 3) employment, and must contain a statement describing the methods that will be used to provide such preference. This statement will be evaluated as part of the submitted bid, and any bids failing to contain such preference statement or failing to adequately address such preference requirements shall be deemed non-responsive. If you believe it is infeasible to provide Indian preference in subcontracting, training, or employment, you must include in your proposal bid a certification as to the reasons why. The successful individual or firm on this solicitation must comply the Tribe's TECRO Ordinance, including any licensing requirements. Tribal minimum wage rates shall not apply. A copy of the Tribe's TECRO Ordinance may be obtained from the TECRO office, telephone number (605) 747-2322. The successful individual or firm on this solicitation must also follow the Bonding Requirement 24 CFR part 200.325 or 24 CFR 1000 acceptable methods of securing a project proposal bid amount $250,000 and over.
