The Rosebud Sioux Tribe is seeking a highly qualified professional engineering team with appropriate expertise, innovative approaches and multi-disciplinary team of engineers to assist in the completion of intersection improvement studies at two intersections on BIA 5: the intersection of BIA 5 and BIA 501 and the intersection of BIA 5 and Tutle Road. The Tribe is seeking to address safety concerns at the intersections which were identified in the 2020 Road Safety Audit and the 2021 Tribal Transportation Safety Plan. These studies will include public engagement, data collection (including survey), environmental investigations, ROW and boundary information gathering/confirmation, and identification of proven safety countermeasures that will address identified safety concerns. While the studies will provide a more comprehensive list of alternatives, it is anticipated that both intersections may require possible realignment as well as updated traffic control signs and pavement marking.
