Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a medical facility in Trail, British Columbia. Design plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

KBH MRI located at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC, will consist of replacement of the existing mobile MRI scanner with a new, permanent 1.5 Tesla (T) MRI scanner and the construction of a ground floor building expansion with basement, located adjacent to the north end of the existing Medical Imaging (MI) department. The expansion (including renovation of the existing space) houses the required MRI and associated support services program areas. Future-proof planning is to account for the expansion of future CT as defined in Phase 2 of the attached Schematic Design Report. TIMELINE: Request for proposal for architectural and engineering servicesfor the project has closed and a preferred proponent has been chosen. The Project Delivery method of this Project will be Design-Bid-Build (CCDC 2 2020). Construction estimated to be complete by March 2028. Further update in spring 2025.
