Mowed areas shall be maintained between 2 to 6 inches. Weed-eating shall be provided around all fixed items on site. Contractor shall provide any and all incidentals for performance of this contract. All debris shall be removed from DWR property at close of contractor's workday that they were generated. Contractor shall utilize a DWR approved herbicide in the permeable paver/gravel area of the parking lot, along the gated fenced in garage compound and as needed where weeds are growing through the concrete and blacktop surfaces including sidewalks and walkways and the perimeter of the building. Herbicide shall be applied 3 time per year, April, June , August, as needed to maintain a neat appearance. Pesticide Business License issued by Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services shall be attached to bid. Fill in and attach Special Term and Condition # 17 to bid in online Herbicide application visits require scheduling 2 business days in advance. There are areas of site that require contractor staff to be escorted by a DWR staff member while performing services. Current contractor, Commander Contracting Inc, declined to renew because of amount of profit on contract and the current economy. There is a call when needed per worker per hour line item for possible out of scope needs. Questions will not be answered at the conference and must be submitted to contracting officer J. Turpin to email address of justin.turpin@dwr.virginia.gov by 3:00 p.m. Friday , July 12, 2024. Period of the contract will be from date of award in July 2024 through June 30, 2026 with three (3) optional renewals. Price adjustment can be requested in March of 2025 for July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 The Contractor shall visit the site a minimum of two (2) times per month, which should be approximately every two weeks or as needed up to 24 times per fiscal year July 1 to June 30. First year, 2024-2025, of initial 2 year term will be 23 times .Only 1 visit in July 2024.
