The Work designated as Great Blocks Mainstreet consists of, demolition of existing site elements such as curb and gutter, concrete & asphalt paving,electrical pole foundations, concrete sidewalks & ramps and removal of site furnishings and some plantings., in accordance with the drawings, specifications, and other Contract Documents. The City Commission of the City of Alamogordo will consider the tabulation of Bids at its next regular meeting or at a later meeting if required. The CONTRACTOR is advised to obtain specific information as to the qualifications and conditions of the Bid Evaluation Criterion before submitting a Bid. A Bid Security shall accompany each Bid in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total Bid amount. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Bid amount to assure the performance of the Contract, as well as payment for all labor and materials of the Contract. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, and the City of Alamogordo reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and waive all technicalities and formalities. No BIDDER may withdraw their Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the Bid Opening thereof. The date of commencement of the Work is the date established in the NOTICE TO PROCEED AS ISSUED BY THE OWNER. Substantial Completion shall be achieved within Three Hundred Five (305) calendar days after the date of written "Notice to Proceed", except as hereafter extended by a valid written Change Order by the OWNER. Final Completion shall be achieved not later than thirty (30) calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion Attention of BIDDERS is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
