Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Crane River, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the construction of a 3,573-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; 183-square-foot, one-story above grade warehouse / distribution facility; and 1,195-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.
The O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation (OCCFN) encompasses over 3,500 hectares along the shore of Lake Manitoba. The First Nation is located 225 km northwest of Winnipeg. The nearest service centre is Dauphin which is a distance of 120 km away via all weather road. OCCFN through the duly elected Chief and Council applied for capital funding under the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal Order 41 to provide needed facilities in which to manage and implement its Child and Family Services programs and services. Currently, the community is faced with the inability of CFS to effectively provide program/service delivery due to the deteriorated condition and inadequate size of the existing on-reserve CFS building. Funding has been awarded and this RFP initiates the planning and construction of a new facility. Three building structures comprising of an estimated total of 460 m2 area.
