The O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation (OCCFN) is proceeding with the new construction of a K-12 school for the community. The OCCFN is accessible year round using PTH-68 and PR-481 and is located approximately 100 km northeast of Dauphin; OCCFN has a base population of 500. The OCCFN has been working with Stantec Architecture Ltd. and Consulting Ltd. and HTFC Planning and Design to design a new K-12 school building and teacherages, including associated infrastructure and underground services connecting to the building and teacherages, as well as paved parking lot and other works noted by the landscape design. The full scope of work shall be divided into three separate tender packages, however this RFQ only concerns Tender Package #2. The tender packages are identified as follows: - Tender Package #1: Civil Works - Tender Package #2: School Works - Tender Package #3: Teacherages Works The single-storey, 3,206 m² school incorporates classrooms, a gymnasium, versatile gathering and teaching spaces, teacherages, dedicated access roads with a bus drop-off loop, parking areas, auxiliary facilities for operations and storage, and a range of outdoor recreation amenities including sports fields, playgrounds, and an outdoor hockey rink. The development encompasses a vacant site with grass and partial forest cover and variable elevation 1 km east of Provincial Road 481.
