On-call engineering, material testing and construction inspection services for various public works projects, special repair improvements, evaluations, and other services located within the Statewide CDFW System. Services for potential projects include, however are not limited to, some or all of the following: study, review, assessment, planning, schematics, preliminary design, design development, preparation/stamp of construction documents, cost estimating, specification writing, calculations, assistance and/or response during bidding processes, preparation of analyses for existing buildings and structures, obtaining permits from state agencies such as the State Fire Marshal and the Access Compliance Section of the Division of State Architect. The scope of services and total fee for individual project orders will be negotiated utilizing the rates specified in the Agreement. The State does not guarantee that any work will be made under the agreements during the contract period to the selected firm. This RFQ does not commit CDFW to award a contract. The contract award under this RFQ shall be in accordance with the procedures herein and all other laws and regulations governing this Contract award. Pursuant to Cal. Code Regs., tit.14 789 et seq. it shall be made to the best qualified business with whom CDFW is able to negotiate a satisfactory contract at a fair and reasonable price.
