The City of Chico is seeking Statement of Qualifications from qualified Professional Civil Engineering consultants for the purpose of selecting one (1) consultant to provide on-call geotechnical engineering and material testing services for a range of capital improvement and private development projects. The City of Chico is seeking Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified Providers for the purpose of selecting one (1) Provider to provide on-call geotechnical engineering and material testing services for a range of capital improvement and private development projects. The total amount authorized amongst the contract awarded from this solicitation will not exceed $900,000. There is no guarantee, either expressed or implied, that this dollar amount will be authorized under this contract through Task Orders. The contract term is for three years, with the potential for two one-year extensions at the City's discretion. The projects and tasks will encompass a mix of federally, state, and locally funded efforts, as well as privately funded development. The capital improvement projects may be complete streets infrastructure, transportation, storm drain, and wastewater conveyance projects. The work will be assigned on an as-needed basis for various projects and efforts. They may be discrete, short-term assignments or may be part of larger capital projects. The specific tasks and personnel requirements will vary depending on the individual projects. As capital improvement program or private development projects become available for assignment, task orders will be issued. Project Location: All On-Call Geotechnical Engineering and Material Testing assignments will be located in the vicinity of the City of Chico, Butte County, California. Depending on the scope of service, prevailing wage rates may apply if work to be performed by the Provider and/or subProvider(s) will involve on-site work such as land surveying (flag persons, survey party chief, rodman or chainman), materials sampling and testing (such as drilling rig operators, pile driving, crane operators), inspection work, soils or foundation investigations, environmental hazardous materials, and so forth.
