The Town of Williston is seeking bids for the painting of the superstructure that supports a sewer line that crosses Allen Brook. The contract is to scrape and repaint the structure. Power tool t o clean loose and flaking paint/rust and capture and recovery of paint and rust. Containerize and proper disposal of lead waste (if required). Provide staging or a means to gain access to the work to be accomplished and provide environmental protection to capture all waste and paint by products. Paint bare structural steel with primer then grease 100% of structural steel elements that require grease. This work is for the structural steel support of sewer line under the Pedestrian Bridge which runs alongside Bridge #17 on Industrial Avenue. Any Lead waste will be disposed of in a landfill operated in accordance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and copies of disposal receipts to be furnished to Town of Williston. All work shall be performed in accordance with State and Federal Regulations governing this type of work. Paint system will be a Wasser Moisture Cured Primer and Texaco Rustproof L grease or equal, approved by the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Also included in the project is the installation of the missing section of insulation to be provided by Williston sewer department. Materials: Paint system will be a Wasser Moisture Cured Primer and Texaco Rustproof L grease or equal, approved by the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Equipment: The contractor shall furnish qualified staff and will be responsible for all movement of the equipment. The equipment shall be fully maintained and in good condition at all times throughout the work. All other equipment incidental for performance of the described work must also be supplied by the contractor. Basis For Payment: This is a lump sum price bid and shall include the cost of furnishing all of the labor, equipment, equipment maintenance, and materials necessary to accomplish the described work.
