Request for Bid for rotary-sonic Drilling in Koochiching, Traverse, and Stevens Counties in Minnesota for Minnesota Geological Survey at the University of Minnesota. This Request for Bid (RFB) is issued by Purchasing Services for the Minnesota Geological Survey (MGS) at the University of Minnesota for cost estimates for rotary-sonic drilling of geological test holes through glacial drift (unconsolidated sediment) and into bedrock in Koochiching, Traverse, and Stevens Counties in Minnesota The drilling project in Koochiching, Traverse, and Stevens Counties, Minnesota, as described above, will tentatively begin on or about Monday, September 9, 2024, and is projected to take eight to twelve weeks. An exact starting date will be discussed with the successful bidder and will be agreed to in writing before a contract is awarded. All work must be completed in a timely manner (weather permitting) and should not be interrupted by other scheduled projects. Note that all information and all materials obtained from this project will be used for research purposes and will be made public.
