Upper Fairfield Township is soliciting bids from interested and qualified contractors for the trimming and removal of trees within the township right-of-way on T-623 Tallman Hollow Road. Trees should be trimmed to a height of 30 ft. above roadway. Dead & hazardous trees and dead & hazardous branches above 30 ft. will be removed. All logs, cordwood, branch wood, or other forms of wood derived from the trimming or removal of trees shall be cleaned up and hauled away by the contractor. Proposals must be upon forms furnished by the municipality. The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality. Payment and performance bonds or certified checks in the amount of 100% of the contract, as well as proof of worker s compensation insurance, shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. They will also be required to comply with all applicable equal employment opportunity laws and regulations. All envelopes containing bid proposals shall be clearly marked Tree Trimming & Removal Bid. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
