Question Deadline 08/05/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Any questions regarding the project must be submitted via the "Ask A Question" feature in online Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, or certified check or cashier's check, in favor of the County of Butler, in the amount of not less than ten percent. The County of Butler reserves the right to waive any informality in and to accept or reject any and all bids or any part of any bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goal for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses and related matters. The work which the Contractor is required to perform under this Contract shall be commended at the time stipulated by the Owner/Administering Agency in the Notice to Proceed to the Contractor and shall be substantially completed in 60 days and shall be fully completed within 15 consecutive calendar days thereafter. (stated in notice-to-proceed) Furnish and Install Gravity Sanitary Sewer Lateral a. This pay item shall include the excavation, pipe, clean out, fittings, couplings, pipe bedding, backfill to subgrade, restoration, equipment and labor necessary to install the gravity sanitary sewer lateral including standard, sloped and vertical riser laterals. This pay item extends from a point two feet outside of the home/business to the point of reconnection to the existing grinder pump sewer lateral that was previously installed. b. This item shall be paid for on a linear foot basis measured horizontally from the connection point with the home/business lateral to the point of connection with the existing grinder pump stub that was previously installed. Connection of grinder pump control panel to the individual home/business electrical service a. This pay item shall include the installation of electrical connection of the existing grinder pump control panel to the existing home/business electrical supply or the proposed subpanel. Work includes all labor, material and equipment to connect the specified wire to the electrical supply including breakers, wire, fittings, conduit, seals, etc. All restoration required for the installation of the wire is also included in this pay item. b. Contractor will coordinate with the property owner on the location of the wire installation. c. This item shall be paid for the length of wire installed measured from the existing grinder pump control panel to the existing home/business electrical panelboard,following the path of the installed wire. Item will be paid on a linear foot basis. Estimated cost of construction is .$300,000 to $400,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
