Plans call for the ground-up construction of a laboratory and support space for Subsea and Seabed Warfare Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) facility for Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWCPCD) Team. The proposed two-story building provides required facilities for RDT&E of autonomous unmanned systems to support emerging work in subsea and seabed warfare (SSW). Construction will consist of demolishing existing features and site pavement, new concrete building foundations, elevator pit, auger cast piles and caps, steel superstructure with support for multiple crane rails, bar joists, aluminum canopies, CMU walls and brick veneer, modified bitumen and standing seam roofs, aluminum curtain walls and storefront systems, and typical interior build-out. Additional contract line items include requests for pricing fire pump and accessories for full automatic wet-pipe sprinkler systems, and demolition of existing steel building to make way for new POV parking. Mechanical will include a 58.8 ton air cooled chiller, boiler, DOAS unit, air handlers and ductless mini splits. Electrical will include site demolition, new transformer, switchgear, and panelboards to support equipment. Site retaining walls, asphalt and concrete paving, and landscaping will also be required. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
