This project involves removal of existing concrete and asphalt apron pavement, excavation of material below apron pavement as stipulated in Geotechnical Exploration and Evaluation letter, preparation of subgrade, placement of triaxial geogrid, installation of a perforated underdrain pipe connecting to existing catch basin, placement and compaction of crushed surfacing, placement and compaction of hot mix asphalt apron pavement, and placement of reinforced concrete apron pavement. Finished grades of apron pavement surfaces shall be adjusted to facilitate improved drainage. 1.3 SITE INFORMATION A. Scope of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, replacement of apron pavement within the extents shown on the drawings. The apron being repaired serves the Executive Flight building and adjoins active apron and taxiway surfaces at the west edge of Pangborn Memorial Airport.
