The City of Methuen's Department of Public Works, is seeking bids from qualified vendors for The Milling and Paving of 52 Streets in Methuen. No Bid will be considered which is not accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to the "City of Methuen". This bid deposit will become the property of the City if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract. "MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, PAVEMENT SURFACING, for the project with an estimated value of $1,902,041.25 will be required." The City of Methuen reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding if it is deeded to be in the best interest for the City to do so. No Bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of bids.
