IFB FOR: Searles-Parking Lot Stone Wall Question Deadline 08/21/2024 at 12:00 PM ET All questions by prospective Bidders as to the interpretation of Notice to Contractors, form of proposals, form of contract, plans and specifications must be submitted in writing through the following email purchasing@methuen.gov The City of Methuen is seeking bids for the repair of the historic City Hall field stone masonry wall, originally constructed around 1904. Spanning approximately 165 feet with an av- erage height of 3'-6", the wall is sig- nificantly deteriorated. The project involves repointing approximately 75 feet of mortar and removing and resetting approximately 90 feet of the wall due to severe deterioration, as specified in the construction doc- uments. No Bid will be considered which is not accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to the "City of Methuen". This bid deposit will be- come the property of the City if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract. The City of Methuen re- serves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding if it is deeded to be in the best interest for the City to do so. No Bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sun- days, and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of bids. The bidding and award of this Con- tract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30B.
