Reference Number 0000358095 Delivery Point: City of Arvada The City requires purchase and installation of Genetec Brand outdoor wireless surveillance network for the purpose of video transmission. Only bids for Genetec brand or systems that can feed into the current Genetec Security Center will be accepted. 6 quad cameras to be mounted on the City's existing infrastructure. Due to the timeline of the grant goals, we would like all cameras to be installed and operational by September 30th, 2024. The City of Arvada (City) was awarded grant funds through the Colorado Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice (grant # DCJ 2023-SS-24-26) to purchase cameras to monitor activity within the Olde Town Arvada area where the City is experiencing increased levels of crime. The goal of this grant funding is to increase law enforcement visibility within the targeted area and identify any persons committing crime for safer streets and neighborhoods. By installing these cameras, our police department will be able to have a bird's eye view of the eight-block radius of Olde Town that will ideally discourage crime, revitalize community image, and establish place-specific crime prevention strategies that account for geographic, cultural, economic, and social characteristics of the target area.
