Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in St Petersburg, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.

As of November 6, 2025, the project has been cancelled. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Summary The City of St. Petersburg is seeking responses from qualified vendors to provide all labor, materials, and tools to remove the existing marquee and furnish and install one new double-sided LED digital marquee at Frank Pierce Recreation (Center 2000 7th Street South St. Petersburg, 33705). The sign should be approximately 10 - 12ft high in total height, and the display should be approximately 8ft x 5ft. Training on use of the equipment must be provided. The marquee system must be accessible to site supervisors via computer or phone. Background Historically, the Parks and Recreation department has only used marquees that must be manually changed by taking down and putting up letters. The Department is attempting to transition to a more modern, functional, and eye catching system. The old Frank Pierce marquee was damaged in a storm this fiscal year and was taken down. It has not yet been replaced. Question Submission Deadline: July 30, 2024, 12:00pm 4.1. Intent The City of St. Petersburg is seeking responses from qualified vendors to furnish and install one full color double-sided LED display digital marquee as a one-time purchase. 4.2. Maximum Contract Completion Time Marquees must be installed within 60 days of executed agreement. 4.3. Minimum Qualifications At a minimum, Vendor must meet the following qualifications: Have been in the business of providing digital marquee displays described herein for a minimum of 5 years. Have the ability to obtain the minimum insurance requirements set for in the base agreement General Contractor License Background checks, specific for location Meet bond requirements 4.4. Vendor Responsibilities At a minimum, Vendor Must: Acquire all necessary permits Remove existing marquee Deliver goods to Frank Pierce Recreation Center, 2000 7th Street South, St. Petersburg, 33705 Connect signs to existing electrical system Train staff on usage of equipment Dispose of all shipping and installation debris 4.5. Citys Responsibilties At a minimum, City shall provide and meet the following responsibilities: City shall provide a point of contact (City Project Manager) to administer the Agreement. City Project Manager shall assist with planning, strategy, and objectives prior to performance of the Work. City Project Manager shall promptly respond to issues and inquiries so as not to hinder the progress, completion, or compensation for the Work. Provide electrical connections within 3 feet of the sign location
