Site work for a civil project in Fairmont, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Contract #1: Installation of approximately 25,000 Linear Feet of 8", 6", 4" and 2" water mains, 6" horizontal directional drill, conventional bores, one new altitude valve Vault, one new solenoid control valve, flow meter vault, pressure reducing vault, approximately 13 new water meters and setters, 5 new fire hydrants, various surface repairs/restorations and all other related appurtenances. Contract #2: Installation of one (1) new 54,000 Gallon Water Storage Tank and Foundation, one (1) new Valve Vault, one (1) new Access Road, Site Grading and Preparation, Site Piping and Tie-ins, Chain Link Fence, and one new Telemetry system and all other related appurtenances. The Work will be substantially completed and ready for final payment after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as listed above. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Downs Public Service District in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. DBE Requirements - Each Bidder must fully Comply with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, and Affirmative Action Requirements, as identified in the contract documents. The Bidder agrees to make "positive efforts" to subcontract a portion of the total value of the contract to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. This shall be done in compliance with the six (6) affirmative steps as outlined in 40 CFR 33.240. Failure to demonstrate positive efforts to do so may lead to rejection of bids. For this program, the term "subcontract" includes all construction, modification, and service work contracted for by the bidder in the execution of the work under this contract.
