Site work for a civil project in Fairmont, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The approximate quantities of work to be bid upon are as described as follows: The proposed project consists of the installation of approximately 63,000 LF of water distribution mains, two (2) constant pressure booster pump stations, three (3) pressure reducing valves, customer reconnects, gate valves, tie-ins, fire hydrants, varioussurface repairs, and other necessary appurtenances within the Morgan Ridge, Ranch Road, Tom Moran Lane, and Rock Lake areas. All work as described below shall be substantially complete within 360 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 390 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. A two-envelope system will be used. Each must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder, "Bid on Valley Falls Public Service District - Water System Improvements Project" Received by Valley Falls Public Service District, 2424 E Grafton Road, Fairmont, WV 26554. Envelope No. 2 labeled "Bid Proposal" shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR-1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal", will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal" will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. A bidder may not withdraw the Bid for ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Valley Falls Public Service District in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Upon receipt of the advertisement for bids, kindly respond with an expression of interest by Friday, August 30, 2024, to Eleni Knight and Matt Fluharty via email at eknight@cecinc.com and mfluharty@cecinc.com. The Valley Falls PSD reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. Bids mailed or delivered to Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. must be received. Question Deadline 09/10/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
