Project Description This project includes the preservation/rehabilitation of the structure carrying Interstate 64 (I-64) over County Route (CR 25/13), Academy Drive. The bridge is located approximately 0.53 east of Exit 50 to WV Route 25 in Kanawha County. The existing structure is a three (3) span steel girder bridge with an approximate overall length of 117.5 feet. Improvements include the installation of a new concrete overlay on the deck; reset bearings; full cleaning and painting of the superstructure; concrete repairs on the deck, barrier repairs, substructure repairs and cleaning and flushing of the bridge drainage system including vegetation removal. New signing/pavement markings will also be installed on the bridge.
