Renovation of an educational facility in Lead, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and check/bid security. A certified check or a cashier's check for five percent of the amount bid or the bid security must be in a sum equal to ten percent of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder's bond. A bidder's bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principals bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid, the bid bond, and any conditions of the governing body. Bids shall comply with South Dakota Codified Law Chapter 5-18B as amended Question Deadline 06/13/2025 Bidders and Sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request which shall reach the Architect at least seven days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. This project consists of civil, general, mechanical, and electrical work scope for a 2400 square foot interior renovation on the second floor converting the existing administrative offices into a new CTE shop and classroom. Also included is a 3000 square foot renovation on the first floor where an existing classroom, library, and reading room will be converted into a new secure entry and administrative office suite. 3. Outside the new secure entry, new ADA pedestrian sidewalks, curbing and parking stall improvements will be made. A new parent drop-off drive lane will also be added. 4. The Owner's expectations regarding construction site logistics are found on Sheet G110 and final arrangements for site access, temporary fencing, staging, parking, contractor toilet access, and any other logistical details are to be coordinated with the Lead-Deadwood School District. 5. Construction will occur while the middle school is occupied during regular school hours: a. Lead-Deadwood School District's 2025 and 2026 School Calendar is information available to the bidders at their request. b. Contractors are to reference the Construction Phasing plans, Sheets G110A through G110P for Owner expectations on overall sequence of construction and Substantial Completion dates.
