The Town of Nantucket through its Department of Public Works (hereinafter "DPW") is seeking qualified bidders to submit bids for Bulk Haul Services for various public works materials from locations off-island and hauled to the DPW'S Materials Bin at 188 Madaket Rd., Nantucket MA 02554. The Town of Nantucket is located 30 miles off the south coast of Cape Cod. It was settled in 1659 and incorporated in 1671. The Town has an annual year-round population of over 14,000 and approximately 60,000 seasonal residents. The island is 14 miles in length and 3 1/2 miles wide. The Town of Nantucket is within the County of Nantucket. It operates an operated skilled nursing facility, an extensive Public School System and other municipal operations. The Town functions under a Town Manager/Select Board form of government. The Select Board operates under a Charter and enacts policies intended to promote and enhance the general welfare of the Town. The Contractor shall perform services as necessary from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025. This is intended to be a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for two additional one (1) year terms, not to exceed three (3) years to the Town of Nantucket's sole discretion.
