Reference Number : 0000359180 The Town of West Springfield is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the installation of Town furnished Playground equipment and rubber tile safety surfacing at 4 locations: Tatham Elementary School, Fausey Elementary School, Cooks Park and the Morgan Road Pavilion. Chapter 30, Section 39M, inclusive as amended. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. Federal Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the United States Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act also apply to this project. A $500/day penalty charge will be assessed if the contractor does not meet the following specified final completion dates: 1. Tatham Elementary and Fausey Elementary: Substantial Completion shall be attained by December 2, 2024, and Final Completion by December 16, 2024. 2. Cooks Playground and Morgan Road Pavilion: Substantial Completion shall be attained by May 16, 2025, and Final Completion by May 30, 2025 Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Certified check, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid payable to the Town of West Springfield A Payment bond in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price will be required of the Successful Bidder.
