Schien Elevated Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project for rehabilitation work on a 300k gallon water storage tower, including ladder repairs, manhole addition, vent replacement, interior painting and coating, and the addition of an active mixer in the tank. This project also includes adding an active mixer to a 1 MG ground storage tank and bid alternates for the exterior coating of the 300k gallon storage tower. Substantial Completion: within 60 days. Final Completion: within 90 days. Bidding is per 30 ILCS 500 and 557 and any resulting Contract is subject to applicable provisions of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) and municipal codes and ordinances. The Work includes labor, material and equipment, services required for construction, testing, and commissioning of the Project in accordance with the Contract Documents and as more specifically described in the Specifications and Drawings and includes, but is not limited to, the following principal features. 1. Relocation and permanent affixing of access ladder on the elevated tower 2. Addition of manway in riser on the elevated tower 3. Repair of interior ladder on the elevated tower 4. New OSHA approved safety cable lining systems on the elevated tower 5. Catwalk ladder transition modification on the elevated tower 6. Latches for locking hatch and ladder guard on the elevated tower 7. Replace vent flange and vent on the elevated tower 8. Full interior coatings work on the elevated tower 9. Installation of active mixing systems to both elevated and ground storage tanks and all material and equipment, construction and services inherent to the Work. Alternates (if awarded by Owner) o Alternate A: Exterior overcoat o Alternate B: Complete exterior coating removal and re-coating and painting. B.
