City of Milbank, Grant County, South Dakota will receive competitive bids for the 2024 Drainage Ditch Maintenance Project. Location: See Attached Map Project Manager: Steve Pendergrass, City Administrator Scope of Work: This project is to provide maintenance for existing ditches and culverts in areas below: o Area 1 - Excavate, muck, reshape, reseed approximately 3,200 LF of variable width drainage ditch o Area 2 - Excavate, muck, reshape, reseed approximately 1,600 LF of variable width drainage ditch o Area 3 - Excavate, muck, reshape, reseed approximately 1,900 LF of variable width drainage ditch o Area 4 - Excavate, muck, reshape, reseed approximately 2,200 LF of variable width drainage ditch No bids will be received after the specified hour and date, and Bids which are not prepared and filed in accordance with "Instructions to Bidders" may be rejected. Each Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as '2024 Drainage Ditch Maintenance.' The envelope should also bear on the outside the name and address of the Bidder. If forwarded by mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be sealed in another envelope, with the notation "Bid Enclosed" on the face thereof, and addressed to the City of Milbank, 1001 East 4th Avenue, Suite 301, Milbank, SD 57252. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Additionally, if a paper copy is provided under the conditions of SDCL 5-18B-1, in consideration of the documents being provided at no charge, unsuccessful bidders agree to return the documents to the Issuing Office within thirty (30) days after the bid opening. All official notifications, addenda and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated Issuing Office. Bids may not be withdrawn after the time fixed for opening them. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities therein.
