The owner has selected a Design Builder. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. Reference Number 0000359927 Western Colorado University (Western or WCU) seeks to build apartment style housing for use by faculty and staff on property located in the south east area of campus. The intent of the project is to provide a landing space for incoming staff, as well as transitional housing for staff located within the Gunnison valley. The maximum budget for this project will be $12,000,000. Scope of services shall include but not limited to: Full service design and construction including architecture, MEP and civil engineering, and landscape and interior design services. Potential renewable energy installation. Create three different housing options using the rough distribution of 66% 2 bed, 14% 1 bed, and 20% 3 bed. Within those plans, provide the cost with renewable energy (solar or geothermal), mixed use, and no use of renewable energy. Parking for housing project, and an additional parking lot for the Aspinall Wilson Center to the south side of the building (project will be built where the current parking lot is located).
