Reference Number 0000362450 Job Location: Gunnison, Colorado The City of Gunnison, Colorado plans to upgrade and replace its existing fire station facility by using a progressive design/build (one-contract) project delivery method. The new facility is anticipated to be approximately 25,000 square feet with an estimated cost in the range of $15-25 million. Construction is expected to be completed on or before November 2028, subject to appropriations. A progressive design/build approach has been selected to allow an integrated design/build team to effectively collaborate with the City to develop and implement an optimum new facility in a phased manner. Specifically, the first phase is Validation Services, scheduled to be complete by April of 2025. Subsequent phases are anticipated to include design and preconstruction, final design, construction, and commissioning and may be subject to federal and state funding terms. The purpose of this Notice of Intent and the associated Request for Letters of Interest is to (a) provide advanced notice to the design and construction industries of this project opportunity and (b) request feedback from the industry to inform the City's future solicitation of the project.
