During a recent finance committee meeting, City Engineer Patrick Patton reminded council that NOACA had committed to contribute $1.1 million to the project. He announced that this year the agency is willing to partner with the city even further by contributing another $661,000 to the reconstruction project. Patton did add that plan would call for 5-foot-wide sidewalks on either side of the street. He said the city’s plan was to have sidewalks from south of Liberty Street to the northside of Progress Drive. “But ODOT likes for the sidewalks to start and end at intersections, so they would pay for sidewalks from Liberty Street to Progress,” he said. ------------------------------
