Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Hastings, Florida. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the construction of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility.
The purpose of the project is to provide water treatment plant improvements including one (1) new reverse osmosis treatment train housed in a new pre-engineered metal building, one (1) new high service pump station, one (1) new backup generator and fuel tank, electrical upgrades, and associated yard piping and appurtenances. The County is seeking to install a new degasifier and hypochlorite building and metering station that is being considered as Bid Alternate #1. The project includes Federal funding through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). SCOPE OF WORK A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to construct the Hastings WTP Expansion project in its entirety as shown on the Contract Drawings and as specified herein. B. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Mobilization/Demobilization, General Requirements, Bonds and Insurance, Project Controls, Testing, and As-Builts. 2. Salvage: The Owner reserves the right to salvage equipment at the facility. The Contractor shall turn over the equipment and/or materials to an onsite storage area with temporary covering or protection from the elements for subsequent removal by the Owner. The following equipment to be salvaged may include, but is not limited to: a. Backup Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch b. Existing High Service Pumps, Hydropneumatic Tanks, air compressors, and accessories. c. Existing valves 3. Site Work: a. Removal and disposal of unsuitable materials as necessary. b. Site restoration including grassing, sodding, paving and other restoration. c. Final grading and drainage. d. Driveways and Sidewalks. 4. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Treatment Building: a. Construct a new 2,900-sf Pre-engineered Metal Building (PEMB) to house a new antiscalant system, clean-in-place (CIP) system, RO treatment room, and storage room. b. Provide a new 0.33-MGD package RO treatment skid with cartridge filter, feed pump, bypass blend assembly and all other necessary piping, valves, and accessories. c. Provide a new CIP system to accompany the RO Treatment Skid. d. Relocate the existing antiscalant dosing skid from the old RO Treatment Building to the new. e. Relocate the existing instrumentation board from the old RO Building to the new. 5. Degasifier and Sodium Hypochlorite Building a. Provide a new 500-GPM packaged degasifier system with associated access platform, blower, blower enclosure, ductwork, piping, valves, and accessories. b. Provide a new 9-ft by 9-ft fiberglass reinforced plastic sodium hypochlorite building with dosing pump skid.
