Mackinaw City Public Schools will receive sealed bids for the Classroom & Gymnasium Building Additions & Mechanical/Electrical Renovations Project no later than Monday, September 9, 2024 at 3:00pm. Deliver two complete copies of bids to Mr. Jeffrey Curth at the address listed above. Submit bid copies in a SEALED envelope, clearly labeled with bid title, date & time of the bid opening. Bids will be opened publicly, shortly after 3pm and read out loud at the MCPS School Building shortly after receipt of bids. A link to a virtual meeting will be forwarded to plan-holders prior to bid day. The bid opening can also be viewed virtually by that link. Bids received after September 09, 2024 at 3pm will not be accepted or considered by the Mackinaw City Public Schools Board. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to make any award that it considered to be in the best interest of the District. An optional, but highly recommended Pre-Bid Meeting will occur on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 starting at 11:00 A.M at the MCPS School building at 609 W Central Ave, Mackinaw City, MI 49701 The scope of the work includes the selective renovations of the school's existing mechanical, plumbing, power and lighting systems/equipment. This work is required to be completed by August 15, 2025. Additional work includes two major additions. The first is a new entry addition with lobby, multi-user restrooms and a new competition gymnasium. The second addition includes new general education classrooms with accessory storage and single user restrooms. This work will be required to be completed by December 12, 2025.
