A. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment, and perform all work for Bowers Elementary School Roof Replacement, as specified herein and shown on the accompanying drawings. B. Verbal Summary: Without force and effect on requirements of the contract documents the description of the work of the Contract can be summarized as follows 1. Generally, the work consists of a. Complete tear-off of existing roofing system to deck and installation of new roof system over existing deck. See drawings for details. b. Removal of existing and installation of new metal gravel stop and fascia. c. Removal of existing and installation of new metal coping. d. Removal of existing deteriorated wood blocking and installation of new F.R.T. wood blocking around the perimeter. e. Removal of existing and installation of new curb flashing and sheet metal. f. Installation of new walk pads and pipe supports. g. Preparation and painting of existing steel ladders. h. Preparation and painting of existing gas lines. i. Pay fees related to the work, including but not limited to permit fees, plan review fees, and other fees required by authorities having jurisdiction. Roane County is inviting sealed bids for ROOF REPLACEMENT - CHEROKEE MIDDLE SCHOOL subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Invitation to Bid, the bid specifications and the Roane County Purchasing Manual. All bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976, as currently amended if bid price exceeds $25,000. If bidding over $25,000 a 5% bid bond is required. If awarded, the contract period for this award shall be a one-year period. Contract pricing shall be firm for one (1) year.
