The County of Riverside Purchasing on behalf of The Transportation Department is soliciting quotations for steel traffic signal poles, mast arms, anchor bolts, and auxiliary components as detailed in "Exhibit A" of this RFQ. Bids shall include all transportation costs, labor, and equipment for off-loading the product for the traffic signal poles as listed in the cost summary at online cost sheet which is to be completed and returned in you online response. The County does not guarantee any item or any dollar amount will be purchased. Project Specifications: The signal poles, signal arms, luminaire arms, and anchor bolts are to be ordered to Caltrans 2022 Standard Plans and Standard Specifications Section 56-3. Vendor's Responsibilities: The successful vendor shall adhere to the following: Quality Assurance of all products are to meet Caltrans specifications as required. In addition, the vendor will be responsible for providing a Certificate of Compliance, Mill Report and Welding Report/Certification upon delivery of the poles. Inspection will NOT need to follow Caltrans Section 8.3 procedures. Fabricators shall have successfully completed Caltrans Facility Audit for welded steel poles for lighting and signal structures, and certified by AISC to perform its own NDT of welds, per Caltrans Standard Special Provisions. All products shall be quoted F.O.B: 23-315 Jefferson Ave, Murrieta, CA 92567 with the exact delivery address to be provided at a later date if different. The awarded vendor will be required to provide a written statement within two weeks of the award date that the order for the equipment has been received and accepted by the manufacturer. The awarded vendor will be responsible for notifying the County of Riverside when the poles are ready to be shipped out. The vendor shall also be responsible for notifying the County Engineer, name to be provided upon award, a "minimum" of three (3) working days prior to delivery. The County of Riverside, Transportation Department works on a compressed work schedule, with alternating Mondays and Fridays off. Therefore, the contractor shall be solely responsible for not scheduling the delivery on a Monday or Friday. The awarded bidder shall be responsible for delivery and providing the necessary equipment and personnel to off-load traffic poles with an acceptable method that will not damage the poles. Poles must be placed on the ground in an orderly manner supported off the ground with the use of wood. No forklifts will be allowed to off-load the poles. The County of Riverside will take delivery, but the "Transfer of Title" of the poles from the vendor will not occur until the County has fully inspected and has approved them. Delivery appointments MUST be made with the County of Riverside Transportation Department, 72 hours prior to scheduled delivery date. The contact person will be provided upon award of bid. The County will not be responsible for cost incurred due to shipments attempted during non-receiving hours or unscheduled deliveries. All delivery of products must be F.O.B. Destination.
