Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Davis, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services for site work including grading, site concrete including accessible parking space and walkways, site utility connections for electrical (w/ meter) and data / telecom connection (trenching + conduit only); construct structural concrete pad, 20' x 70' (1400sf) pre-engineered metal building (deferred approval/submittal), two (2) roll-up doors, man doors / frames including door hardware, painted plywood interior, metal pipe mounting system for equipment, HVAC systems, electrical, and conduit work for future data; and portable hawk mews (4 total), concrete footings / curbs, and associated site work including grading, pea gravel and crushed rock. Funding is provided in part by U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground - Research Triangle Park Division (ACC-APG-RTP Division), grant # W911NF-23-1-0404. This project is subject to Davis Bacon*/and or other related acts (as applicable), Federal requirements, as well as adherence to California prevailing wage rates. additional pre bid meeting note: For further information, contact Heather Eckels via email: contracts.dcm@ucdavis.edu. It is currently anticipated that the Conference/Job Walk will last approximately 2 hours. PARKING INSTRUCTIONS: Pre-Bid Conference and Job Walk attendees should plan to arrive on Campus at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled meeting time to make arrangements for parking. This specific site does not require parking permits during the date of the Prebid Conference only. Any parking challenges that are encountered will not excuse late arrivals and will result in that firm being ineligible to bid on the Project. In addition, the University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) relating to all goods and services covered under the awarded agreement, subject to any and all applicable obligations under state and federal law, and University policies. The awarded contractor shall make best efforts to provide qualified SBEs and DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
