No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bid. The Town of Richmond reserves the right to reject any/all bids, waive any informalities in the bids received and to accept and award the bid to the lowest qualified bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the Town of Richmond. PROJECT LOCATION: Lots - Map 6B Parcels 1&2 - the end of the cul-de-sac for Chelsea Farm Drive, Richmond, RI PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project consists of the following site development: - Construction of a three-space parking area with associated retaining wall. - Construction of a timber stairway. - Construction of multiple wooden boardwalks. - Site clearing and grubbing for pathway. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS: The specific work required is shown on the Plans entitled "Saila Preserve 100% Construction Drawings, Richmond, Rhode Island" Sheets C-1 thru C-5 dated July 2024, prepared by Horsley Witten Group, Inc. are included in this document. All specifications are included in this Invitation to Bid. Specific questions may be addressed to Suzanne Paton, RRPLT Chair at (401) 787-8912 or richmondrilandtrust@gmail.com PERMITS: Work at Site is subject to the jurisdiction of the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) - Wetland resources. A copy of the permit and Order of Conditions from RIDEM included herein. The Contractor shall conduct operations in such a manner to conform to all requirements set forth in this permit. If the Contractor's method of operations deviates from those indicated in the permit, the Contractor shall be responsible for all necessary additional permits and fees required to complete/correct the work. Such permit revisions and delays shall be at the Contractor's own expense and will not be grounds for extension of time to complete the work, nor claim for additional cost. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Finance Department (401)539-9000, x8 at least three business days prior to the bid opening.
