Renovation of a multi-residential development in Mattoon, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

Project Description : The project requirements are to remove and replace all Trash Chute doors & frames, and remove & replace the Trash Compactor at the Park Tower apartment building (while always limiting operation downtime to a minimum), located in Mattoon, IL. (109 Prairie Street). Not less than the prevailing hourly wage as specified in the Project Manual shall be paid for any part of the work. Bidders shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, creed, or national origin. With each bid an amount equal to five percent (5%) shall be submitted in the form of a certified check or bank draft payable to the Housing Authority of the County of Coles; U.S. Government Bonds: or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder as principal and having a surety thereon a surety company acceptable to the Housing Authority of the County of Coles. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity; non-discriminatory policies; and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages, as set forth in the Specifications, must be paid on this project. The Housing Authority of the County of Coles reserves the right to reject non-reasonable or non-responsive bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority of the County of Coles. GOALS: The MBE/FBE/DBE goal for this General Construction Contract is ( 20 ) percent of the amount of the contract awarded by HACC.
