Work under Schedule "A" generally comprises of construction of final landfill closure system at the Rosetown Landfill site located approximately 5.0 km southeast of the Town of Rosetown. Work generally consists of shaping and rough grading to the design elevations, constructing the compacted clay cover layer, shaping and grading the ditches surrounding the landfill cap to design elevations, installing the subsoil and topsoil layers, drainage ditch swales with armour bank rip-rap and seeding the extend of the landfill final cover area and ditches. Work under Schedule "B" is classified as Optional Work and may be included in the Contract pending approval from the Ministry of Environment. The Work generally comprises of the construction of a construction and demolition (C&D) landfill cell adjacent to the Towns existing Solid Waste Transfer Station. The work involves earthworks consisting of stripping of organics, common excavation, construction of embankment, geotextile separation layer, installation of leachate collection and removal system, topsoil stripping and replacement.
