The City of Mt. Shasta invites separate sealed bids for snow removal services as part of the City's Community Development Block Grant funded Senior Snow Removal Program. Services include removing snow and berms from seniors or those with disabilities private property residences' driveways located within the city limits of Mt. Shasta. Properties eligible for these services shall be broken into "plow routes". Each route must be bid on separately. Award Date September 16, 2024 Typical Service Dates November 15, 2024-March 31, 2025 Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the Request for Bid Package. Any Proposal not so submitted will be considered as not responsive to this Invitation. Each responding contractor is responsible for understanding the routes and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Request for Bid Package Contract Documents. The failure or omission of any Contractor to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Contractor from any obligation with respect to its Proposal. This is not a public works project, and the Contractor shall be required to comply fully with all Laws and Regulations of the State of California regarding Labor Standards. In addition, this project is funded by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), through the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Bidders on this work shall be required to comply with the provisions of and must meet guidelines established by the Department of Housing and Community Development and appropriate federal regulations. Any contract(s) awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded by a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, as administered by the California Department of Housing and Community Development with the City of Mt. Shasta as the Grantee. Neither the United States nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Advertisement for Bids or any resulting contract. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the Specifications and Proposal require-ments thereof, and no bid will be received unless it is made on Proposal forms included in the Contract Documents. The City of Mt. Shasta reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to make that award which is in the best interest of the City.
