Project involves the installation of owner supplied electrical panels, switch gear and transformer within an existing building. Electrical Contractor shall install owner supplied 480VAC and a 220 VAC load centers and two disconnects upon an existing backboard. Contractor will also install owner supplied floor mounted 480VAC/220VAC transformer. Contractor to complete all wiring from existing meter box to disconnects and panels. Contractor shall coordinate with National Grid utility for the installation of electrical meter and energizing of panels. All work to be done in accordance with the plans and specifications attached hereto. The Town and County of Nantucket invites qualified Electrical Contractors to submit responses for the Installation of Electrical Panels, Switch Gear and Transformer. Question Submission Deadline:September 19, 2024, 8:00am Questions concerning this IFB must be submitted via the question-and-answer feature on the Town electronically The Town of Nantucket reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its best interest. The Town of Nantucket will not be responsible for any expenses incurred in preparing and submitting bids. All bids shall become the property of the Town of Nantucket. Responders must be willing to enter into the Town of Nantucket's standard form of contract that will include the scope of services description of this IFB. The bid, and any subsequent contract for the services, is hereby issued in accordance with applicable Massachusetts General Laws. The selected bidder shall be expected to comply with all applicable state and federal laws in the performance of service. Bidders must submit a bid deposit of five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid. Bid deposit may be in the form of a certified check; a bank, treasurers or cashier's check; or a bid bond from a surety company. Successful bidder will be required to submit a 50% Payment Bond.
