The major items of work include installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) and curb ramps at four locations throughout the City. The proposed bid range for the project is from $570,000 to $850,000. The entire project, including cleanup, shall be physically completed within 30 working days. This project is fund by a Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program Grant and City Funds. Requirements stipulated for Federal and other governmental funding have been incorporated into the Contract Documents and require full compliance by the Contractor and any subcontractor hired by the Contractor. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements on this project are 15% certified DBE. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or proposal bond (surety bond) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such Contract and furnish satisfactory Contract Bond within the time stated in the Bid Documents, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Auburn. Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond.
