Renovation of a day care center in Stuart, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a day care center.

The County of Patrick is soliciting sealed bids from qualified Virginia licensed contractors to perform various renovations at the Uptown Stuart Business Development and Child Care Center located in Stuart, Virginia. If a contract is for one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) or more, or if the total value of all construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any twelve-month period is seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750.000) or more, the bidder is required under Title 54, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class A Contractor. All sub-contractors must provide the County of Patrick with appropriate VA State licenses and tradesman cards. The Town of Stuart requires that contractors and sub-contractors possess a business license. Patrick County is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, sec, national origin, age, handicap or familiar status. Local, minority and female owned firms are encouraged to participate. Patrick County is a drug-free workplace pursuant to the requirements of the Code of Virginia. The contract shall be awarded on a lump sum basis as follows: The TOTAL BASE BID AMOUNT (including any properly submitted bid modifications) on the attached Bid Form, and as further described.
