Magnesium Hydroxide Tank Replacement Project. Question Deadline 09/24/2024 at 3:00 PM ET Deadline to submit Questions online. The project consists of the installation of a new chemical mixing tank, chemical mixing unit, air compressor, installation of a masonry block knee wall, dosing pumps and all associated piping and appurtenances necessary to bring the new equipment online. The Work shall be substantially completed within 45 days from Notice to Proceed and Project Closeout must occur by December 12, 2024. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid price, payable to Montrose Municipal Authority, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, shall promptly obtain the required Bonds and insurance and shall prepare the required submittal documents and execute the Agreement. Montrose Municipal Authority reserves the right after opening Bids to reject any or all Bids, or waive any informality or to award any portion of the project. The Pennsylvania State Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to this project Description of Work 1. Provide all labor, material and equipment to furnish and install a complete Magnesium Hydroxide Feed Pump System to provide the required feeding to the application points. The equipment shall be essentially automatic in operation but capable of manual operation as required for maintenance or test purposes. 2. All piping, manual shut off valves and mounting hardware (e.g. nuts, bolts, washers, pipe stands, or cinch anchors) associated with connecting or mounting the metering pumps as herein specified, shall be stainless steel and shall be provided and connected under this Section or as specified by the manufacturer. 3. The feed pump system shall be designed to dedicate one feed pump to operate, with the other pump ready to operate on failure of the dedicated pump. The feed pumps shall be automatic and controlled by a new PLC.
