Reference Number 0000363302 The La Plata County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), through the Procurement Division, is seeking quotes from qualified Injection Grouting Contractors to perform Low Density Cellular Concrete (LDCC) pressure grouting of the annular space between a corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culvert nominally sixty inches (60") in diameter and a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) thick-walled culvert liner forty-eight inches (48") outer diameter. LDCC material is to be non-pervious cellular cementitious grout with minimum density of twenty pounds (20 lbs.) per cubic foot (pcf) and maximum density of seventy pounds (70 lbs.) pcf (ideally forty-fifty pounds [40-50 lbs.] pcf) to be achieved via incorporation of an industry standard foaming admixture, and shall be designed to have a minimum cured compressive strength of 200 psi @ twenty-eight (28) days. LDCC is to be injected via a series of two-inch (2") diameter schedule 40 PVC conduit ports (4 to 6 ports) until the annular void is filled, indicated by rejection of grout from vent ports at the top of the cavity. Grout injection pressure is to remain at or below two pounds (2 lbs.) per square inch (psi) during placement and may require placement in multiple lifts. The annular space is estimated to be twenty-eight (28) cubic yards (cy) with voids at CMP failure points estimated at an additional four (4) cy. Work is to be performed sometime in October or November, TBD. No washout will be provided on site.
