contractors for annual sewer collection system repairs and replacements in Durango, Colorado. The District reserves the right to act in its best interest and may terminate, modify or suspend the process, reject any or all submittals, modify the terms and conditions of this selection process and/or waive informalities of any submission. For consideration, proposers must obtain the Request for Proposals (RFP) from the South Durango Sanitation District and submit a proposal in accordance with the requirements of the RFP. The proposals will be evaluated, and the District expects to accept by written notice the proposal that, in its estimation, represents the best value to the District. The District will identify projects to be completed each year. A general list of potential projects for the next 4 years is attached. The projects and cost estimates are for planning purposes and are subject to change. The contractor will inspect the selected projects each year and develop a Project Approach for the selected work with District staff. The Project Approach will include construction methods, a cost estimate, estimated time for completion and any other data relevant to the selected work. In most cases detailed engineering plans and specifications will not be provided. A contract for each project in the general form attached will be executed by the District and the Contractor after the Project Approach is completed. This process should be completed not later than March 1 of each year. All work should conform to the requirements of the Codes and Standards of the District. In cases where it is not feasible to conform to those requirements, the Contractor and the District will agree in writing on appropriate deviations. The District will inspect and test the work as needed. Non-conforming work will be repaired. The Contractor may select dates for the projects which take into account other work the Contractor has scheduled however all selected work is expected to be completed each year. The District will be advised at least 10 days prior to the start of any work. Payment will be made at the regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the District. Upon the completion and acceptance of the work an invoice must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the Board meeting. The selected contractor will continue to complete projects each year if prior performance is satisfactory.
